I have too much homework later and am on a roll with this procrastination thing. So I started thinking what it would be like to work on a cruise ship. I've read that while you don't get paid much ($300 a week?) you do have all living expenses paid for. It sounds kind of cool for a single, no children, no debt person... as long as it is a relatively short term job (aka not 365 days a year...maybe a month or two out of the year) so they aren't TOO too cut off from the real world. I am a 21 yr old female, I am a little busy with trying to catch up with college classes at the moment, but say when I graduate and there are no good jobs anywhere.. would it be silly to take a year to just live on a boat or is that taking away valuable time that I should be spending trying to find a real job? Who is this cruise job ideal for? (like waitressing, gift shop, bartending etc) I wouldn't mind living in a cramped place and always working... It sounds perfect for a graduate!
